Holy cow! It’s the 200th day of 2011!  A great day to do an update, no?

Here’s the stats:  as of today I watched 156 films.  44 films behind.  Valiant attempt?  Burning disappointment?  I vacillate daily, but I’m still watching with great determination.  I average about 5 films per week.  Moving, vacations, getting engaged, working late, the 3 hour running time of most WWII films— I could offer many excuses, but they don’t matter.  The only thing to do is go forward!

As you readers may have noticed, I’m trying to catch up on the blog as well.  I have a hefty list of posts to write, but there are some movies that I know won’t make it into a post of their own, glorious or horrible as they may be.  Instead, a list for your reference:

Fair Game, The September Issue, Opening Night (so good), Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, The Philadelphia Story, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, The Age of Innocence, Easy A (bleh) , Nosferatu (amazing), Aguirre The Wrath of God, Heart of Glass, Burden of Dreams, The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser, Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench, L’Avvantura, Blow Up, Without Lying Down, Red Desert, Superstar, Young Frankenstein (I’ve seen this many times, but went to a cemetery screening to see it again!), Midnight Express, Valley of the Dolls, Enchanted April, Shag, Hot Coffee, Harry Potter 7 Part 1 (re-watched to re-cap)

And a while back I decided to leave new movies off the blog:

Rango, Sucker Punch, Hanna, Jane Eyre, Bridesmaids, Midnight in Paris, X-Men New Class, Super 8, Harry Potter 7 Part 2, Captain America (tonight!)

I hope catch up on the 21 films I have notes on, including a Summer Movies line-up and my current WWII phase!  Thanks for reading!
